Cut out the processed sugars and heavy starches (breads, white rice, potatoes, etc.)

im seriously not a troll i just want to know if i will be wasting my money by buying these pills.

and if anyone tells me they are silly etc, im at my last resort with this dieting, i need to loose 3 stone (14 lb x 3) by september!

I’m sorry you got spam as your first answers, but to answer your question, I’d say it’s almost pointless to take Alli if you’re a vegetarian. It’s just a simple fat blocker, but it has added side effects (liver or kidney problems, IIRC)… vegetarians seldom have problems with "bad fats" to start with, so it wouldn’t likely help you much at all.

The display I read for it (while I was waiting at the register) is that the main part of the program is changing your lifestyle… dieting (eating less), exercise, healthy meal plan, etc (which it sounds like you’re doing). In fact, it said that if you aren’t willing to change those things, you shouldn’t take Alli. It goes on to say (as with other fat blockers), there will be "anal leakage" and it suggests that you wear dark colored pants for the first while. Simply put, it prevents the fats from being absorbed by your digestive tract, so it makes your stools more oily and they can more easily squeak out.

The reason people lose so much weight on Alli is because of the lifestyle change, not the drug. The display specifically says it might help you lose an extra 1-2 lbs per 5 lbs you would lose anyway from the exercise/food changes…. but that’s compared to the "typical American diet" that is full of greasy burgers and whatnot.
My best suggestion… skip the fat blocker, save that money, and go with the diet and exercise program instead. Good luck with your diet!
